I bought this car around 7 or 8 months ago for £2.6k as a great condition, well running car. unfortunately I didn't view it because I was very specific about what I wanted (2.3 red block turbo with an auto box and low mileage) and it was a long way from me. When it rocked up the gearbox was shouting and it barely idled ???? these have since been sorted by the below work:
Gearbox rebuild at £3066 (rebuild box, seal rad, add additional oil cooler, flush coolant system) ???? the gearbox is beautiful now!
Refurbished injectors (£150)
New battery
New disks and pads on the front, pads on rear
Egr cleaned out
New pcv box and hosing
Oil and filters
Fuel filter, new fuel pump
New dizzy and rotor, HT leads, coil, plugs
Rocker cover gasket
Temp, lambda, and crank position sensors
Basically I've done a lot of work on the car, then I got a company car ???? the idle control valve is a bit iffy. It's currently unplugged and the throttle is adjusted to idle smoothly. It does mean when it's cold the idle is low until it's warmed up but runs well now. almost a 12 month MOT.
The bonnet paint sucks but comes with a spare (slightly different shade, I'm slightly colour blind on green so apparently what I thought was the same isn't)
It all works as it should, is solid underneath and is a true pleasure to be in. lots more to say. Give me a message ????
