Are you a Diesel Engine/Generator Engineer / Technician / Mechanic with the ability to strip and rebuild Diesel Engines or Generators?

Are you able to work safely around the electrical systems associated with engines and generators (electrically qualified ideally)?

Are you based in EITHER the Preston or Staffordshire areas and looking for a new job opportunity?

Would you be open to working with a rapidly expanding business with genuine progression opportunities for their Engineers & Technicians?

If the answers are yes, our client, a major player in the power generation / emergency back up power industry are looking to take on an electrical generator engineer.

What you need

The right candidate will have experience in the diesel generator field installing and testing installations ranging from basic electrical testing to more complex peak lopping and paralleling systems.

Experience of stripping and rebuilding diesel engines essential. Installation experience also required.

Commissioning experience of generators desirable

NVQ Level 3 / HNC / HND in Electronic / Electrical

UPS experience hugely desirable.

A full UK driving licence essential.

Additional Duties:

* Call Out Rota approximately 1 week in 7/8

* Electrical installation of all control and power cabling between the generator, changeover panels, switchboards and ancillary equipment

* Generator servicing and maintenance at customer premises

* Generator Load Testing

* Generator commissioning

* Generator fault finding

* Generator electrical repairs
