Slitter (paper-based manufacturing)

Due to the high demand in filtration media/paper-based manufacturing, our well established client is looking for a Slitter to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience of working within paper-based manufacturing, have a good work ethic and be happy to work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

This role offers excellent benefits and training. Due to the rural location on the outskirts of Bishops Cleeve near Winchombe own transport is essential.

Duties to include but are not limited to:

* Ensuring reels are produced and wrapped in accordance with correct instructions. E.g. TI, reel width, set diameter, etc

* Any deviation, deliberate or otherwise, is reported to the Slitting IC

* Complete all checks in a timely and efficient manner and appropriate action taken where necessary

* Ensure packing materials are ready for next grade and any shortages are highlighted as soon as possible to the Slitting IC

* Packing & Booking duties when required

* Entering basic data into the computer

* Some manual lifting is required

Package:

* Starting salary of £29,243.76 increasing to £33,022.08 once you have completed all training. Training will consist of 32 weeks learning the Packer & Booker roles (training times will vary dependant on the individual)

* 4 on 4 off fixed shift (2 days (6am-6pm) and 2 nights (6pm-6am) followed by 4 days off

* 42-hour week based on an average calculation over the full year

* 220 hours holiday + Bank holidays (based on the 42-hour average working week)

* Christmas off!

* Overtime rates 1.5x pay Monday-Saturday, 2x pay Sunday

* Paid breaks

* Company Pension contribution of up to 8%
