Vehicle Systems Homologation Engineer

Are you an experienced Vehicle Systems Homologation Engineer seeking a new opportunity to grow your career? ASL Technical are now working with a leading OEM as they look to expand their Engineering team.

Main Purpose of Homologation Engineer

Provide vehicle testing compliance certifications for vehicle manufacturers products compliance products.

Oversee Manufacturing/Admin staff indirectly on specific occasions.

Collaborate across functions with sections/departments within Vehicle Manufacturer.

Engage in cross-functional collaboration with other business entities and representatives from the Homologation department.

Responsibilities of Homologation Engineer

Create and implement Type Approval plans for models under vehicle manufacturer jurisdiction, monitor and report progress against crucial milestones.

Manage System Type Approval for allocated regulation subjects for all markets. Engage in negotiating testing compliance with EU Authorities to address 'worst case' scenarios.

Generate required documentation in alignment with project schedules. Coordinate Type Approval testing in compliance with EU and other market regulations while adhering to manufacturer Quality, Cost, and Delivery objectives.

Provide broad knowledge of passenger vehicles and interpretation support on regulatory subjects to design and test engineers through consultations with authorities and vehicle manufacturer.

Experience / Knowledge for the Homologation Engineer

Degree qualified (or equivalent) within an automotive engineering discipline.

Ability to communicate well on varying levels for subject interpretation to engineers.

Have broad topic technical knowledge in relation to passenger vehicle compliance.

Experience in Homologation Type Approval processes and regulations for passenger cars.

Have a high level of regulation knowledge across the many subjects required to achieve Whole Vehicle Type Approval.

An inquisitive individual with enthusiasm to learn whilst bringing prior automotive knowledge.
