About The Role
Antony James Recruitment Ltd are delighted to have partnered with a leading Financial institution based in Northwich in recruiting a Financial Accountant. In this role will be working closely with the FC and team members in leading financial reporting activities and statutory accounting activities including VAT and Corporations tax management.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -
Ensure the financial reporting activities of the Bank operate within an effective control environment and manage risk-related processes relevant to the team.
Deliver on-time activities concerning the Bank's month-end closing process and reporting to Access Bank Plc.
Deliver the half-year and full-year group reporting packs, ensuring accuracy of output and adherence to review processes.
Deliver the annual financial statements and ensure an effective and issue-free external audit.
Prepare and review quarterly and annual VAT. returns and oversee the review of the Bank's PESM on a periodic basis.
Prepare and review the Bank's Corporation Tax requirements.
Manage a horizon scanning and implementation process for developments in relevant developments affecting the Bank for both tax and accounting issues.
Assume responsibility for managing the Bank's financial software including general ledger, financial statement production, FlexCube and other key systems.
Enhance and automate key manual processes as agreed with the Financial Controller.
Enhance review processes by delivering additional analysis to support management review of key outputs.
Collaborate with the Management Accountant to deliver management reporting to the Bank as necessary.
Assist the Regulatory Accountant with inputs and support on regulatory reporting.Key Skills:
Recognised accounting qualification and 3/4 years of relevant post-qualified experience
Strong understanding of IFRS standards
Microsoft Office Systems Knowledge especially Excel and Word
Processing & Procedural Knowledge
Project Management Techniques
5/10 years general work experience.Benefits:
