Job Title: Locum Qualified Social Worker

Location: Cambridgeshire County Council
Duration: 3 months initially
Rate: £42 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

Undertaking assessments and enquiries under S17 & S47.
Provide a high-quality social work service under the guidance of a Team Manager.
Utilize the Family Safeguarding model, taking a strengths-based approach to assess, plan, and deliver interventions for vulnerable children and families.
Build meaningful relationships with children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard and their experiences understood.
Collaborate with multi-agency colleagues and partners for holistic engagement with families.Principal Accountabilities:

Provide professional leadership and make independent decisions in high-risk situations.
Identify and respond to needs, ensuring robust analysis and clear SMART plans.
Demonstrate strong analytical, interviewing, and observational skills.
Engage with families using the Family Safeguarding model to facilitate change and improve outcomes.
Adhere to legislation, challenge decisions where needed, and act as the lead professional in safeguarding matters.
Produce coherent, analytical, and child-focused reports and plans.
Work in partnership with families to ensure timely and proportionate interventions.Partnership Working:

Represent Cambridgeshire County Council at a community level.
Develop effective multi-agency plans with key partner agencies.Professional Development:

Maintain and update knowledge regarding social policy and practice.
Engage in continuous professional development in line with Social Work England registration requirements.Professional Values and Standards:

Carry out duties in line with Social Work England Professional Standards and Cambridgeshire County Council's values.Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Recognized professional Social Work qualification.
Relevant post-qualifying and post-graduate training.
