Elevation Recruitment Group are excited to be the retained partner to Rocol for the recruitment of an Area Sales Manager to cover the South-West.
Part of ITW, a multi-national US-owned Fortune 500 company, Rocol develop and manufacture technically advanced, market-leading Food-grade lubricants.
The successful individual will develop a portfolio of existing customers, seek out opportunities to set up sustainable and profitable growth with new targeted customers.
This position is focused on growing market-share across Food & Beverage Production, driving business within end users. You will also work closely with the UK Channel Manager to engage with key distribution partners and deliver the business strategy back through.

Area Sales Manager Role:
Promoting a range of market leading lubricants, backed up by a world class onsite service package, your knowledge of factory/manufacturing environments will allow you to uncover and satisfy the needs of customers.
Responsible for all metalworking revenue growth activity in the territory.
Although this position does involve a degree of account management, 80% of the role will be new business focused and you will be expected to maintain a profile within our existing accounts.
Identify, qualify and convert opportunities for direct sales and also new speciality distributor partners aligned to Food & Beverage production.
Pipeline management ensure the opportunities are prioritised and managed so the speed of conversions ensures the required results are realised.
Responsible for executing and optimising the channel strategy.
Proactively build customer relationships through influencing, negotiating and creating an environment to maximise account opportunities.
Responsible for prospecting and protecting revenue in territory by executing the sales process.
Area Sales Manager Skills & Experience:
Experience in working within manufacturing or engineering disciplines would be advantageous but not essential.
Demonstrated leadership success in a technical sales environment.
Significant experience operating as valued based field sales professional with ability to position benefits and identify and leverage cross-selling opportunities.
Good experience of developing relationships and driving sales growth through channel partners (industrial distribution networks)
Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills at all levels internally and externally.
Effectively builds rapport, understands customer decision making process and able to identify customer needs.
Naturally strong interpersonal skills, forming and maintaining positive relationships with ability to work collaboratively at all levels.
Experience of identifying updates in the industry or applications and the impact on value proposition
Ability to travel and holds a valid driving license
