SEN Teaching Assistants Required

The Supply Register is currently working alongside Milestone Academy and are looking to appoint motivated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work across all ages.

Milestone Academy is a large special school for pupils with Profound, Severe and Complex needs, across five sites and is part of Leigh Academies Trust. The Academy currently have 385 pupils on roll aged between the ages of 2 and 19. Milestone Academy has been judged as Outstanding by Ofsted at their last three inspections. Milestone aim to provide all students with the best quality teaching by recgonising that every individual is unique and has the right to learn, the academy aims to ensure everyone will make sustained and where possible acccelerated academic and personal progress.

Responsibilites:

Work alongside the classroom teacher to help pupils with educational development
Assess and track students progress, providing feedback to both students and parents.
Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Use creative teaching methods to stimulate children's curiosity and love for learning.
Requirements

Previous experience as a SEN TA would be essential
Strong knowledge of SEN strategies, interventions and assesment methods
Must have the Right to Work in the UK
Must hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to process one
Must be able to provide a minimum of 2 references and cover the last 2 years of employment or study periods
