Supporting children with a range of SEN to keep them engaged in the classroom.
Encourage the development of the student's social skills.
Work 1:1 and in small groups with students, providing reading and maths sessions.
Adapt teaching methods and resources to suit the unique learning styles of each student.
Monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and staff.What the school is looking for:
Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar behavioural mentor role is highly advantageous.
Must have a enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to get one (£46).
Strong understanding of special educational needs and the challenges that students with SEN may encounter.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
