Quantity Surveyor

The Company

FPS are currently recruiting a permanent Quantity Surveyor for our rapidly growing client to work on a portfolio of fit out and flooring refurbishment.

We will also consider an newly graduated Quantity Surveyor

The Job

As a Quantity Surveyor you will manage the commercial resources of the assigned project and handle planned expenditure through the placement and control of contracts. Alongside this you will value work executed by contractors and certify final payments. You will be required to support the authorization and submission of project variations as well as assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risks and implement the company's policies for risk management. You will also be required to act as the contractual/commercial guardian within the business by providing timely and accurate cost and value data at both project and regional levels.

The Candidate

The successful candidate must have experience of commercial management and procurement of contractors. You will be proficient in using spreadsheets and be willing to learn. You must have strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills and experience in construction or refurbsihment
