Simply Education are currently recruiting for a Food Technology technician to work in a successful Design Technology department in a Stockport high school. The school is a Good school with great transport links.

As a Food Technology technician your core focus will be to ensure all staff within the department are supported with all aspects of safety and lesson preparation.
You will be a key part of the departments success by ensuring the smooth running of Food Technology by ensuring that all ingredients are stocked and the classroom are set up to operate safely for the use in practical Food lessons.

Your job will entail:
Carrying out risk assessments for practical and technical activities
Preparing necessary solutions and equipment for practical experiments
Maintaining, repairing and taking inventory of Ingredients
Liaising with staff over equipment and safety issues
Running trials of experiments and demonstrations
To be a successful science technician you will need to;
Have Education or Food handling experience
Strong subject knowledge of Food Technology
Be able to adapt with ease to new environments
Have an outstanding awareness of safeguarding, equality and diversity
Be friendly and approachable
