Im helping a Cardiff-based tech company expand the team with 2 Senior Software Engineers to work on multiple work streams. Joining a small team initially with an ambition to grow within a controlled manner, you have the opportunity to become the companys future leader in engineering with a view to build a team for each Senior Software Engineer.
They have a scalable model and big plans for the next year; a complete rebranding as well as some greenfield projects that are still currently at research stage.
This is a hybrid role that requires a minimum of 1 day per week in the office.

Ambition is key, we are looking for open engineers who want to learn new things.
About the role/tech:
We are open to 2 Senior Software Engineers or one Senior and one Mid-level. As a small team, they need someone who can hit the road running so you will need to be proficient in Sanity for Headless CMS, React and Next on the front end and AWS and NodeJS on the back end.
Day to day will involve developing backend applications using NodeJS in a serverless architecture.
You will develop front-end applications with NextJS, React and Sanity.io
The ideal SSE will have experience with databases such as MongoDB or PostgreSQL as well as a background in a DevOps environment, containerising, deploying, scaling applications and micro services using CI/CD pipelines.
You will champion best practices like automated testing and continuous deployment and play an active role in Agile ceremonies, including retros and sprint planning
