An Oxford-based biotechnology company are seeking Screening Scientist to support their research into the discovery and development of novel biologics.
As a Screening Scientist you will design and conduct affinity screens to identify hit molecules for drug discovery supporting the companys internal pipeline and external collaborations. This is a lab based role, and you will use a range of techniques such as flow cytometry, PCR, qPCR, NGS, microfluidics, transcription and translation, and training will be provided for all techniques, so this is a great opportunity to enhance your skillset.
Essential requirements for the role:
PhD or MSc in a relevant biological discipline with experience in a similar role in industry;
Expertise in flow cytometry and experience with techniques such as PCR, qPCR, SDS-PAGE, Western blot, and ELISA;
Ideally experience with display technologies such as phage display, yeast display, or mammalian display;
Experience developing and troubleshooting assays.
