Job Title: Gatehouse Security Officer

Our client, a reputable organisation, is seeking a dedicated Gatehouse Security Officer to join their team in Newport.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring the safety and security of the organisation's staff, visitors, and assets.
Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the gatehouse area, preventing unauthorised entry and addressing any security breaches promptly.
Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems to identify any suspicious activities or potential threats.
Provide exceptional customer service by assisting visitors with directions, answering inquiries, and ensuring a welcoming environment.
Prepare and maintain accurate records of all incidents, reports, and daily activities.
Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to address security concerns and implement necessary measures.Requirements:
Proven experience as a Gatehouse Security Officer or similar role is desired, although training can be provided for the right candidate.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.
Strong observational and problem-solving skills to swiftly and effectively address any security issues.
A customer-centric approach, providing exceptional service to all individuals interacting with the gatehouse area.
Flexible availability, with the ability to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings as required.
Physical fitness and the ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
