Designing new and old customer storage solutions from Rack to Mobile systems, across multiple sectors across the UK, and sometimes Europe!

The Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Design Project Engineer to join a small team of multi-disciplined Engineers and salespeople. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and engineering creative storage solutions that cater to the unique needs of our clients. This position offers a unique chance to collaborate with cross-functional teams, work on cutting-edge projects, and make a significant impact on our customers' operations.

Key Responsibilities (After training).

* Understanding and evaluation of tender documents.

* Drawing of layouts at various quotation stages.

* Generating materials lists based on layout drawings.

* Collecting prices from suppliers for required materials.

* Assisting in the preparation and completion of costing for installations, including materials, suppliers, and labour.

* Generating installation packs, including drawings, lists of (time-)phased materials, and installation guides.

* Checking Purchase Orders and invoices.

* Managing and coordinating multiple projects concurrently.

Qualifications:

* A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Product design engineering would be preferred, or if you have worked in the storage industry, a good background in design and projects.

* Proficiency in Autocad is essential (but will be taught if you are used to other software).

* Previous experience in industrial or product design, preferably within the storage solutions or material handling industry would be awesome.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on deadlines and project requirements.

* Knowledge of relevant engineering codes, standards, and regulations.

* Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable team player with a passion for innovation and continuous learning.
