Teaching Assistant - SEMH

Prospero Teaching are looking to recruit a teaching assistant to work in an alternative educational provision in Trafford. When you join the team you will be part of the schools behaviour support team where you will support various pupils which may show challenging behaviour. The role is full time starting ASAP

The school are looking for a calm and resilient candidate who can offer the pupils, compassion and consistency, to hopefully allow them to reintegrate back into a mainstream classroom. The pupils will have SEMH and will be prone to outbursts meaning that you may not always be classroom based. Prior experience of working with children with challenging behaviour would be advantageous.

The role is an ongoing full time position, that will initially be a temporary role, but can become permanent.

ASAP, full time (8:30am - 3:30pm)
£85-£95 a day
Experience working with students with SEMH
Experience working with students who can display challenging behaviour
Provide effective support to ensure that the needs of the pupils are met. TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child & adult barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide professional related references, covering the last 2 years
