Axon Moore is working in an exclusive partnership with an exciting SME in Chorley who are searching for an experienced Accounts Assistant who is looking to take ownership of transactional duties and add value to the business. The role is varied, fast paced and offers mentorship for career development

A generous starting salary is on offer up to £30,000 and there is scope to become involved with wider areas of the accounts team. The business also boasts a great working culture with hybrid and flexible working also on offer.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of accounting processes and have at least 1-2 years experience within a similar finance based role.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including transactions, terms and customer information
Recording day to day financial transactions- ensuring invoices are posted correctly
Maintaining and solving finance related queries
Liaising with other departments to ensure accurate information is maintained
Generating regular financial reports
Assisting with customer account reviews
Co-ordinating with the finance team to ensure that deadlines are met
Providing administrative support to the finance team and supporting with audits
Ensuring compliance with financial information
Ad hoc duties
Required Skills and Experience:

1 years experience within a finance role
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
Adaptable and flexible
Positive can-do attitude with an enthusiastic approach
Strong organisational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Team player with ability to work independently
Clear, confident telephone manner
