We are currently seeking a Level 2 or above KS2 Teaching Assistant for a Runcorn school to cover a leave of absence until Easter 2024. The role is full-time, however applications from candidates available 4 days per week will be considered.

The succesful candidate will hold experience in Upper Key Stage 2 who can independently drive interventions (for PKS, WTS, EXS and GDS ability groups) in Reading, Writing, SPaG and Mathematics...in both Yr 5 and Yr 6.

Responsibilities:

Provide group interventions.
Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) to support students learning goals.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging student confidence and independence.
Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and specialists to optimise student progress.
Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the unique needs of each student.
Qualifications:

Previous experience in supporting students in KS2, hold Level 2/ 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivilant
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a difference in students lives
GCSE Maths and English
