Junior Design Engineer

£25,000 - £32,000 depending upon experience

Do you have a Mechanical Engineering degree? Are you confident in using Solidworks or Autodesk? Attega Group is currently partnering exclusively with our client in recruiting a Junior Design Engineer join the team.

The main purpose of this role is creating custom engineered solutions to suit our clients requirements. In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £32,000 P/A, depending on experience, plus:

25 Days holiday + bank holidays

Earlier finish on a Friday This is a full-time, permanent/ role. The hours of work will be Monday Thursday 08:30 17:00, Friday 08:30 16:30.
Reporting to the Design and development engineer your responsibilities will include:

Creating custom engineered solutions to suit our clients requirements.
To aid the sales team with technical queries & quoting for custom solutions
Undertake Research & Development of new products.
To work with the workshop to provide troubleshooting & technical support.
Liaise with external suppliers and subcontractors.
Production of Bill of Materials (BOM) for quoting & manufacture The ideal candidate:
BEng or BSc in Mechanical Engineering
Confident using Solidworks or Autodesk Inventor to create complex assemblies.
Generate detailed manufacturing drawings.
Creativity and experience across the design lifecycle, including undertaking requirements capture, concept generation, development and down selection.
Have a basic understanding of Bills of Materials (BOM).
