Your role may involve supporting individuals with specific conditions such as Dementia, Older Adults, or those nearing the end of life. This requires specialized knowledge and skills to address their unique needs and challenges. By staying informed about the latest developments in care practices and continuously improving your skills, you can provide the best possible care and support to these individuals.
Overall, as a Care Assistant, you have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of those you care for. By preserving their comfort, promoting independence, and providing compassionate support, you contribute to their overall well-being and quality of life.
Your duties will include: -
* Playing a vital role in preserving the comfort and quality of life of each individual under your care
* Providing an excellent person-centred service
* Supporting choice and independence in the residents
* Supporting with washing and dressing, providing nutritional support, personal care and assisting with activities as and when required
* You will need to be a naturally compassionate person with a strong sense of empathy for those individuals under your care.
Requirements:
* Right to work in the UK is essential. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this position or those who are currently on a Sponsorship.
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Must have at least 6 months UK based experience of working in a care or support setting.
* A compassionate and patient approach, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
* Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
* This position requires you to complete all mandatory training and an enhanced DBS before being able to undertake any working assignment.
* Be flexible to travel - driving licence and own transport is preferable to get to shift but is not a necessity.
