Reporting To: Plant Maintenance Technician
Duration: Permanent
Work Pattern: Rotating Shift Pattern. 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm/10pm-6am
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our client who are a leading automotive supplier who specalise in manufacturing and commercialisation of plastics as an electrical bias injection maintenance technician.
Your mission will be to provide preventative and curative maintenance and repair of all injection services, carry out modifications/engineering changes when requested in compliance with safety standards, ensuring quality and productivity.
Key responsibilities:
Support production to ensure minimal downtime of all injection maintenance equipment.
Plan and carry out predictive, preventative, and curative maintenance according to the maintenance plan.
Maintain/update all documents to capture relevant data for maintenance activities.
Use cranes and a wide range of lifting equipment (training provided).
Maintain critical spares and injection maintenance consumable stock, notifying the line manager of discrepancies.
Ensure all activities are in accordance with health and safety regulations and site procedures.
Carry out/support 5S activities within the workshop environment.
Participate in continuous improvement activities when requested.
Liaise/coordinate with other departments/activities when required.
Carry out CI projects set by the manager and complete according to the timeline.
Identify improvement activities and implement.
Implement all procedures in line with Company Golden rules/best practice.

Knowledge/Experience:
Previous experience working in a similar role (minimum 5 years).
Injection Electrical bias Maintenance Technician. Time served electrical apprenticeship (minimum ONC).
Ability to navigate and understand electrical drawings.
Strong electrical fault diagnosis ability.
Basic mechanical knowledge including hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
Navigation and understanding of mechanical drawings.
Assist tool room maintenance with electrical support on injection tooling.
Bench fitting.
Demonstrate the ability to maintain injection ancillary equipment (Thermal regulators, hot runners, etc.).
Demonstrate the ability to maintain/program pick and place robots (Fanuc Preferred).
Demonstrate the ability to work on IMMs (Engel Preferred).
Ability to work either autonomously or as part of a team on repairs or preventative maintenance programs.
Crane use (desirable).
Computer literate.
