Overview

Highly successful SME electronics manufacturing company require experienced Production Engineer to provide support to the manufacturing team and work to maximise production efficiency. This role is office based at a convenient location in Staines upon Thames.

About the role

Reporting to the Production Manager the Production Engineer will work in a customer facing role to diagnose any faults within the manufacturing process and work towards a continuous process of improvement. Key duties include:

* Hands on management of the production function and providing technical support to production operatives

* Ensuring all customer orders are delivered on time and meet quality standards.

* Providing a technical diagnosis for any returned products and providing a full report with corrective action for each customer in accordance with the SLA.

* Completing a diagnosis and reporting with regard to any supplier returns

* Working with the product testing team to provide an analysis of faults for non shipped products and looking to improve the production process to ensure minimum product failures

* Responsible for the inventory & maintenance of all production equipment

* Overseeing the workload and setting objectives for the Engineering Technician

* Working to develop the skills and competence of the production team

* Engaging with a process of continuous improvement to increase efficiency, production and customer satisfaction.

About you

* You will have a proven track record as a Production or Manufacture Engineer and ideally have experience within the Electronics or Manufacturing sector

* The successful applicant will have strong written and verbal communication skills and be capable of working within a customer facing position

* In addition you will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately diagnose problems and work to implement corrective action.
