An esteemed organisation in the field of Nuclear Power and Engineering Technical Services (is seeking a talented C&I Engineer to join their dynamic team in Newcastle. This position offers flexibility, with locations available in Manchester, Warrington, Newcastle, Knutsford, Gloucester, Dorchester, or Didcot. Embracing flexible working patterns, this role is designed to accommodate diverse lifestyles.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage in diverse projects spanning the entire project lifecycle, from bid creation to concept, detailed design, installation, and commissioning.
Contribute expertise in systems integration, along with testing and validating PLC, SCADA, and simulator systems.
Demonstrate practical knowledge in implementing engineering designs, adhering to standards, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements within an engineering environment.
Deliver high-quality technical reports while simplifying complex problems and fostering strong relationships.
Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent qualification (e.g., HNC/HND with significant experience) in C&I or a related field.
Pursuing Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with a relevant professional body, with support provided.
Awareness of civil nuclear plant systems, structures, components, and associated design and assessment guidelines, or relevant engineering principles from regulated industries.
Understanding of pertinent guidelines, standards, and practices (e.g., IEC 61508, 61511, 61513, 61226, ONR SAPs / TAGS).
Proficiency in the systematic design lifecycle of C&I systems, covering specification, design, assessment, verification, testing, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of safety or process-critical I&C Systems.
Knowledge of high integrity hardware or software-based control systems for industrial equipment.
Ability to work effectively in a team, meet deadlines, and communicate project progress.
Strong communication skills to convey information to diverse stakeholders.
