Based in Glasgow City Centre, our client has beautiful Offices right next to George Square. They're seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their diverse team of highly focused engineers.

Whats on offer?

The successful candidate will report to the engineering director. Like you would expect, they treat everyone like adults - meaning they're rather flexible in terms of your start and finish times - so long as your flexible to help the team out when your knee deep in work!

Salary on offer will be in the region of £45,000 per annum (DOE). They have a generous Annual Leave entitlement, and company contribution pension.

Key Responsibilities

Creating engineering drawings for fabrication and manufacturing departments.
Using softwares like solid works and auto CAD to create prototypes for outsourced manufacturing.
Create precise 2D and 3D models, assemblies, and drawings.
Translate concept designs into detailed CAD models and technical drawings.
Enhance designs' functionality, efficiency, and aesthetics.
Validate structural integrity and performance using design software.
Collaborate with project managers.

Required experience

Qualified mechanical design engineer.
Experience using solidworks and auto CAD
5+ years experience as a mechanical design engineer
Experience creating precise 2D and 3D models.
