A rapidly growing independant packaging supply company is currently seeking a part time Content Manager!
This role is designed to be a challenging and rewarding opportunity to create relevant, captivating written and video content across a range of channels aimed at our core customer segments, aiding the marketing function in generating a consistent flow of qualified leads to enable the sales team to deliver its turnover and new business goals.
The role will be part-time (20 Hours per week) based at our Buxted premises, with hours of 8am to 12pm Monday to Friday. We do have some flexibility with the hours/days to suit the successful candidate. The Salary Advertised is FTE.
We supply the food processing industry with a massive range of packaging, ingredients, and sundries across the UK. Our existing team of twelve are friendly, professional, and committed to growing the business. The company has seen a strong period of growth with a strategic vision for continued growth over the next 5 years. We are looking for additional staff who can really add value and help make the business aims a reality.
The key responsibilities are
* To create and post relevant content across Social Media platforms to help us communicate with existing and reach new core customers (1 post per day)
* Ensure we have a blog/vblog programme in place which details key industry messages and communications from the business to improve engagement with our existing customers
* Ensure we have an effective e-mail marketing strategy in place that is delivering leads and supporting our sales strategy
* Ensure a video library which gives customers access to product information, demonstrations and advice is in place to improve our new business proposition
* Ensure video content about the business is in place to aid communication of our key messages & business operations with customers
* To manage an editorial calendar to ensure timely delivery of all content
* Attend regular meetings with the MD to discuss content needs and learn what clients are asking and what their needs and pain points are
* Identify new content opportunities and explore ways to repurpose existing content
* When required, collaborate with the MD to produce content for proposals and pitches
* Ensuring all written and visual content is aligned to our marketing and sales strategy to create cohesion between sales and marketing activities
* To Ensure the Company Website (WordPress) is kept up to date with the latest products and company information by creating and amending web pages
* Ensure our product merchandising, listings and descriptions are set up effectively to maximise conversion rate
* To update and maintain professional images of our products to enhance our ecommerce sales
* To maintain our digital and printed company product guide to improve the information available to customers about our products
* Ensure the business has all the right marketing measurement tools in place to track lead activity and ROI across all marketing activity
* Utilise content management system and google analytics to analyse website traffic, engagement metrics and success of educational articles
* Assess effectiveness of digital marketing activity and bring in new ideas for lead generation
* Collaborate with the sales team to ensure recording of leads is accurate
* To ensure all of our printed media such as business cards, leaflets and other hardcopy promotional material are in place
* To ensure all of our Digital materials for a variety of uses such as logo's, banners, e-mail signatures are up to date and in place
* To ensure all of our branded material for the company premises such as signage, wall art and internal communication material are in place
Skills, Experience, Knowledge
2 + Years experience in a similar role
2 + Years writing skills
Experience in a wholesale/B2B environment preferable
Experience creating a wide range of content and distributing content across a range of platforms
Brand building experience
Experience with video content and editing
Experience with WordPress and web editing
Strong skills in creating original content that targets specific audience and meets company objectives
Excellent copy-writing and editing skills with a high level of written English
Experience with social media engagement strategies and best practices
Experience with website content creation
Solid video production and editing skills
Proficient in storyboarding, scripting and conceptualising
Good photography skills
Understands the fundamentals of branding
Excellent project and time management skills
