Lab Assistant

Our client who focuses on animal genetics is looking to recruit a Lab Assistant to join their small and friendly team in Cheshire, about 20 minutes from Chester.

The position would suit someone looking for a career change, who needs school hours, who enjoys practical and routine work!

The role will include performing laboratory tests (analysing samples) to the expected standard within specific time frames, you will be conducting routine testing, inputting data on to the computer

Cleaning, sorting, counting, prepping aga plates and stocking shelves are some of the duties necessary for the position

The position is a temp (6 months) to perm opportunity with an immediate start.

Monday to Friday - 9am-3pm/4pm

Pay Rate £11.58 per hour

Essential skills:

Must have good attention to detail
Must have access to a car and a full driving license due to location
Familiarity with: western blots process and PCR process would be desirable but not absolutely essential at all.
Good IT skills to update data.There is a wealth of training and support provided for this role.

This position could suit a nurse, someone with a catering background or even retail!
