SIG Plc. is a leading supplier of specialist building materials to trade customers across Europe as a specialist distributor of insulation and interiors products and merchant of roofing and exterior products.
We are currently looking to recruit a Business Development Manager - North West and Yorkshire, who will assist SIG as we look to increase sales with Independent and National Builders merchants through existing Trading Agreements and relationships within SIG across the North West and Yorkshire in the UK.

What does the role involve?
As Business Development Manager, you will be expected to manage existing trading relationships and build new business opportunities within the buying group memberships and Nationals. You will take the lead in engaging and developing regional, design-led relationships with members and highlight the benefits if using of SIG, to make SIG the solution and product supplier of choice with Builders Merchants.
The successful candidate will require:
Experience within the construction industry, with a proven track record in delivering results and financial targets
Strong decision-making ability and successful sales management experience, with in depth knowledge and an understanding of and effective sales function and best practices
Excellent business, commercial and financial acumen, with a pragmatic approach
Demonstrable leadership skills, with strategic thinking, influencing and negotiating skills
Advanced IT Skills, especially in MS Excel
