Position Overview: Our client is seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Site Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Site Manager in the successful delivery of construction projects, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Operations: Assist the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations on the construction site, including coordinating subcontractors, managing materials, and ensuring adherence to project schedules.
Health and Safety: Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular inspections, and addressing any hazards or concerns promptly.
Quality Assurance: Monitor workmanship and quality standards to ensure compliance with specifications and customer expectations, taking corrective action as necessary to maintain high standards.
Communication: Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams, to provide updates on project progress, address issues, and resolve conflicts.
Documentation: Assist in maintaining accurate project documentation, including site records, progress reports, and health and safety documentation, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to site operatives and subcontractors, fostering a positive working environment and promoting teamwork and collaboration.
Problem-Solving: Identify potential challenges or issues on the construction site and work proactively to find solutions, minimising delays and disruptions to the project schedule.Qualifications:
Previous experience in a construction-related role, preferably as a Site Supervisor or Assistant Site Manager.
CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card is essential.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
