RTL Group are currently on the hunt for a Sub Agent to work for a tier 1 contractor on a major highways and structures project in the heart of Kinross!
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the structures Lead you will be responsible for co-ordinating and managing the RC structures package, subcontractors, quality records with the sections undertaking the works.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Co-ordinate the structures team and inspections with the section engineers for each section.
· In conjunction with the engineers ensure all site records are in place at the time of inspection and copy of test records are available for including in the hand over packs.
· Ensure all RAMS are in place prior to works commencing and prepare where required.
· Raise & issue permits as required.
· Ensure ITPs and MARs are in place prior to works commencing and prepare where required.
· Review the drawings and specification to identify errors and omissions and bring these to the attention of the project team via TQs.
· Be fully conversant with supply chain contract conditions and the attendances from our client.
· Maintain programme and identify opportunities.
· Record resources and monitor outputs against programme, providing updates in weekly production control meetings.
· Communicate with the project team, issues of non-conformances and contractual correspondence, maintaining comprehensive records of resources employed on additional works.
· Be able to undertake site survey and produce sketches of survey work / construction sequences
· Keep a full and accurate daily diary, including any changes/variations, specialist attendances.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
· Civil Engineering related qualification (HNC, HND, BSc MSc, BEng, MEng).
· Minimum 5 years experience delivering structures packages.
· The ability to manage and control tasks and lead a team
· Site Supervisory Safety Training SSSTS (minimum)/Site Management Safety Training SMSTS (preferred).
· Relevant CSCS Card.
· Other relevant training (preferred includes NRSWA, CPCS Appointed Person, relevant lifting training and temporary works co-ordination).
· Understanding of Engineering Principles and extensive technical knowledge of specifications (Spec for Highway Works), construction techniques and best practices
· Knowledge of construction contracts and forms of contract through formal training.
· Computer competence (MS Word, Excel, Document control system, Primavera software).
· Successful experience at a sub agent level.
