Being a Teaching Assistant you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students. Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff, you will provide individualised assistance to students with various needs, ensuring they have the best possible educational experience.
As a Teaching Assistant your skills and experience:
* Qualifications and Professional Development (Desirable)
* Ability to communicate effectively with a range of people both orally and in writing.
* Confident user of IT as a work tool
* Good interpersonal skills including ability to work effectively with a team of people and agencies.
* Ability to demonstrate appropriate knowledge of:
* Current Disability/SEN theory and practice particularly linked to Autism.
* Safeguarding and child protection frameworks.
As a Teaching Assistant you will have:
* GCSE A - C grade in English And Maths (Or Equivalent certification)
* 1 years of experience in a SEN school with SEN registered children and within the UK. (Evidenced on CV and professional references)
* SEN/SEND Certificate
* Adults and Children's Safeguarding certificate.
* Autism Experience
* Experience with Social, emotional and mental health (SEMH)
* Experience with managing challenging behaviour.
* Mental and physical fitness assessment
* Driver (due to rural location)
