About the role:
A new opportunity has arisen to grow the existing HSE team within the business.
Reporting to the Group HSE Manager you will lead the day to day HSE activities at the Studley plant. You will lead risk assessments, audits, toolbox talks and carry out staff training. You will be present on the shop floor, building relationships with staff at every level. You will report site issues to the Senior Management team and be an integral part of the business. You will shape the structure of the HSE department and support the Group HSE Manager to devise the strategy for the plant.
About You
You will previously have worked as an HSE Advisor in an automotive or high volume manufacturing business. You will come from an Engineering background. You will be NEBOSH qualified with an open mind to further study. You will have experience of working in a similar HSE role and be familiar with leading audits, risk assessments, SCARs and near misses, as well as building long term business relationships. You will be a self-starter, self-motivated and proactive. You will be highly organised and flexible with your approach to the business needs. You will be charismatic and influential, with a mindset to keep staff safe at all times. You will be highly PC literate, with excellent experience in Microsoft packages.

The company is a leading tier 2 supplier of metal pressed automotive products throughout the UK and Europe to some of the worlds leading car manufacturers.
The business has a new management team focused on strategic growth and to create a culture where people enjoy coming to work and feel valued and appreciated.
The role will be based in Studley, South Birmingham. Occasion travel to other sites within the group may be required.
