We are currently working with an internationally renowned Tier 1 Contractor, currently constructing a £550.M highways scheme in the South Wales valleys.

This challenging project consists of the duelling of 17KM of single carriageway, and 29 structures varying from viaducts, footbridges, retaining structures and culverts.

The scheme is currently two years into a five-year programme and requires Section Engineers to oversee the setting out and quality across various section of work.

Whilst the contractor is keen to engage candidates within a commutable distance of the project in South Wales. They are also open to paying a accommodation and subsistence allowance to individuals based outside the region.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Oversee surveying and setting out.

* Check drawings and quantities.

* Ensure quality records necessary to meet quality requirements are maintained.

* Schedule selected materials for ordering from the procurement department.

* Plan the work and efficiently organise site operations to meet an agreed programme of deadlines.

* Liaise with any consultants and sub-contracts engaged in the project as necessary.

* Supervise and monitor the site labour force and monitor the work of any sub-contractors.

* Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.
