Job responsibilities:

* Servicing of microscopes / Carrying our preventative maintenance on almost any make, model, age, and type of microscope (we currently not offer service in full regarding Con-Focal units and we never touch SEM/Electron units)

* Carrying out calibration (to a level*)

* Carrying out repair

* Carrying out the installation of new equipment

* Carrying out basicspecific training on new units/equipment installed

* Decommissioning and Recommissioning microscopes (this on occasion may require the engineer to carry out the relocation of equipment)

* Engineers would be expected to visit the Suffolk HQ on occasion / as and when required to do so

* Engineers would be expected to support the Tech Sales Team / work collaboratively with

* Engineers would be expected to organise the final stages relating to any visit to the site directly with the customer

* Engineers would be expected to complete service summaries, reporting issues to both the customers and HQ/Sales team

Person Specification:

* Mechanically Capable

* A basic / greater understanding of electrics would be ideal but not 100% necessary

* Experience within laboratory, Industrial, and educational working environments

* Must be diligent, personable, communicative, and capable of interaction at all levels with clients, from end users, technicians, and professionals alike

* Used to working with ISO / UKAS or other would be a bonus, but again not 100% necessary

* Must be flexible regarding their approach to working environments, hours worked, and hours to be traveled.
