Data Analyst Role - Hybrid - 2-3 days a week from home - Outside IR35

My client is starting a programme to transform the organisations key IT systems & introduce efficient, growth focused processes through the delivery of a new, Salesforce-based IT application.

This programme is planned to run over a period of 15-18 months and is scheduled to commence in September/October-2023.

The delivery process will be managed & executed through a multi-disciplined programme delivery team comprised of expert 3rd party consultancy organisations, external contract resources & SEBL internal technical & business experts.

The role is to perform technical discovery of data, extract & analyse data, profiling data, and analyse data quality & variations in data & patterns.

To define & manage data migration activities between legacy IT systems & new IT systems within the SEBL technology estate.

Responsibilities:

* Support the transformation programme by providing data analysis leadership & support to the project including:

* Data discovery

* Profiling of data

* Identification & categorization of data quality issues

* Assisting in data cleansing activities

* Defining & managing data migration activities

* Assisting in creation of data dictionaries

* Discovery of data flows between systems

* Assistance with the documentation of data entities

* Collect, organize, & interpret data to help decision making in design & implementation activities of the transformation programme.

* Supporting Solution Architect in data migration design & implementation.

* Work with Business Analysts, Business & Technical SMEs to understand & document how the data is used by relevant systems.

Experience:

* Strong knowledge in Data Analytics

* Basic understanding of SQL or Data handling in Excel or similar

* Strong skills in:

* Data analysis

* Data migration

* Data mapping & modelling

* Problem solving

* Quality documentation & report writing

* Demonstrable experience of analytical skills and proactive in defining solutions

* Experience with any of SSMS, Power BI, Oracle SQL, VBA, Azure, Excel, Python would be beneficial

* Knowledge of Enterprise systems (such as Customer relationship management) not required but preferred

* Knowledge of processing sensitive data (GDPR, PII, etc) is desirable
