Job Title: Programme Quality Engineer

Morson Group have a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join an award winning premium designer and manufacturer of First and Business Class seating and technology based in Cwmbran.

The successful Quality Engineer will be joining a company that prides itself on innovation, customisation, quality and industrial design. Career progression opportunities such as company sponsorship and further training courses will also be available.

The purpose of this role is to assess and assure the Supplier and the quality of products and services they provide are compliant with contractual requirements.

Job Duties:

Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures for engineering projects
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards
Create and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports and test plans
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify quality improvement opportunities
Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to product quality
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Monitor and analyse quality performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
Provide training and support to team members on quality control processes and tools
Stay up-to-date with industry best practises and regulatory requirements
Participate in design and manufacturing reviews to ensure quality standards are met

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
Proven experience in quality engineering or a similar role
Strong knowledge of quality control principles and methodologies
Experience in conducting audits and inspections
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Proficient in using quality control tools and software
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Engineering or a related field
Certification in quality management or Six Sigma
Experience in the engineering industry, particularly in a project-based environment
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
Experience with statistical analysis software

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field

Experience:

Proven experience in quality engineering or a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong knowledge of quality control principles and methodologies
Experience in conducting audits and inspections
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Proficient in using quality control tools and software
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations

Working Conditions:

The Programme Quality Engineer will primarily work in an office setting within the engineering industry. Occasional travel to project sites may be required. The role involves a standard Monday to Friday schedule, working full-time hours
