Metrology Engineer Responsibilities
* Performing precise measurements and aligning intricate components according to customer specifications
* Ensuring adherence to high-quality standards
* Interpreting customer drawings and defining measurement report formats.
* Programming automated CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) programs.
* Collaborating with the Project team to fulfil measurement requirements for PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) approval.
* Conducting dimensional investigations to support engineering teams.
* Implementing 5S principles
* Carry our Hardness tests (Vickers hardness testers)
* An understanding of GD7T
Metrology Engineer Requirements
* To have the ability to program CMM machines.
* Ideally Axel or PC-DIMIS, or Metrolog or Camio
* Proven experience of using GD&T
* To have the ability to read engineering drawings.
* Experience of using Vickers hardness tester
This would suit a friendly, experienced individual, who enjoys working as part of a team, and being given the freedom to use your initiative
