Our client, a prestigious Architects' Chartered Practice located in Dundee, Scotland, is distinguished for their dedication to achieving excellence in both residential and commercial architectural projects. The practice is deeply invested in modern contemporary design and actively engages in nurturing the next generation of architects through collaboration. They are committed to delivering a full suite of architectural services in-house, ensuring a smooth and cohesive experience for clients from project inception to completion.

We are on the lookout for an Architectural Technician to enhance our team. The successful candidate will leverage cutting-edge technology to vividly present building designs, offer expert technical advice to clients, and collaborate closely with our construction design team to realize innovative structures.

Role Responsibilities:

- Work in tandem with architects and engineers to develop detailed architectural plans and designs.

- Generate precise drawings, schematics, and models utilizing advanced software tools such as SolidWorks, Grasshopper, Revit, 3ds Max, ArchiCAD, Sketchup, and AutoCAD.

- Aid in creating comprehensive construction documents, inclusive of specifications and materials inventories.

- Perform site visits for data collection and to verify adherence to design specifications.

- Examine and interpret building codes and regulations to ensure project conformity.

- Facilitate coordination between contractors and subcontractors during the build phase to resolve any design modifications or challenges.

- Support the management of project timelines and schedules.

Required Experience:

- A Bachelors degree in Architecture or related discipline.

- Expertise in architectural software, including SolidWorks, Grasshopper, Revit, 3ds Max, ArchiCAD, Sketchup, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.

- A thorough understanding of architectural principles and building regulations.

- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

- Competency to work autonomously and as an integral part of a team.

- Strong communicative prowess for effective collaboration with a wide range of professionals.
