Seller's Comments:
This is a really beautiful home that we've enjoyed making our own for the last couple of years. The rooms are very large and there is ample storage - including a well thought out and accessible loft - which as a family of 5 we have put to good use!
The previous owners had put a lot of thought into updating the house, whilst being careful to keep its lovely original features, such as the Victorian tiles in the entrance hall and the fireplaces in 3 different rooms. There is also an excellent log burner in the lounge which we use all throughout the winter months.
My favourite part of the house; the bathroom is spacious and recently renovated with a walk in shower. It also has a large freestanding roll top bath which is in keeping with the traditional style of the house in general. Again the kitchen is modernised but has a lovely country kitchen feel with an aga-style oven and rustic wooden countertops. Our neighbours are lovely, and although they have a dog we never hear them because the walls are nice and thick, which is a huge benefit of houses from this period. We absolutely love the street, the trees lining the road have recently been trimmed but will soon be back to their full glory and look amazing in the summer! They also look fantastic at Christmas with many neighbours decorating them with lights and really make you feel festive. The location is very convenient as it is a minute walk from the town centre, and there is an M&S just across the road. We're moving away to a rural location, but if we could move the house with us, we absolutely would.
