Job Title: SEMH Tutor - Alternative Education Focus

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated SEMH Tutor to join our team, focusing on providing tailored support within a non-traditional educational setting.

Position Overview: As an SEMH Tutor at 1st Staff, your primary responsibility will be to work collaboratively with students facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Your role will involve creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, implementing personalised strategies to help students succeed academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

Individualised Support: Develop and implement personalised learning plans to address the specific social, emotional, and mental health needs of students.

2.

Skill Enhancement: Focus on building essential life skills, emotional resilience, and self-esteem through engaging and interactive interventions.

3.

Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and document students' progress, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure ongoing improvement.

4.

Behavioural Support: Implement positive behaviour management techniques to create a supportive and structured learning environment.

Qualifications:

* Education in, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field.

* Previous experience working with children or in an alternative education setting.

* Strong understanding of social, emotional, and mental health challenges in children.

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
