Akton are recruiting on behalf of a client who are looking for a 1st/2nd Line IT Helpdesk Analyst to be based in Chorley. You will be responsible for providing 1st/2nd line technical support for a range of requests, this includes-
To provide professional support of infrastructure, applications and telecommunications.
Receive and resolve calls from the service desk and manage user expectations - by phone, email and in person.
Troubleshooting and diagnosis of hardware and business software and escalate where necessary
Supporting users of the inhouse telephone system and mobile devices.
Deployment of new hardware / software.
Involvement with project work.
Maintaining appropriate documentation.Key skills and experience
A suitable candidate will have at least 2-3 years of experience of IT support and administration in fast paced professional environment.
Supporting users of Windows 10 & 11, Microsoft365, Android and IOS.
Active Directory Experience
Anti-virus deployment / administration
Good Networking troubleshooting skills - DHCP, DNS, VPN, Routing etc.
Experience of general application support
Hardware installation and troubleshooting experience
Drivers Licence - There will be occasions where work is required to be completed off site.Profile
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical parties with an ability to translate complexity into simplicity
Analytic problem solving
Demonstrable working knowledge of IT Systems and Technology
Good Customer Service
An excellent team player
Ability to work autonomously
