The role
As Head of Digital Programme Delivery, you will lead and manage the function delivering IT and business change programmes and projects across this unique organisation during an exciting time of change and transformation.
You will provide leadership and direction for this expanding team, adopting best practice to ensure successful programme and project delivery within the set parameters for cost, timescale and governance.
As a senior manager you will contribute to the strategy and overall direction of digital change for this diverse organisation, including planning, monitoring and reporting of the overall programme budget.
You will lead the end to end digital programme delivery portfolio and oversee the successful delivery of current and future projects to enable the university to achieve its digital strategy.
Your profile
Demonstrable experience of delivering large technical and business change programme/portfolio management successfully.
Educated to degree level or equivalent certification/experience
Experience of managing a team of project, programme, business, PMO and business change professionals with demonstrable experience of managing project budgets and continuous improvement
Experience of leading and developing teams, and adapting effective ways of working in a complex and complicated environment
Adaptable and flexible with the ability to form strong working relationships with stakeholders across the organisation at all levels
Experience of managing project budgets, allocating resource and delivering on agreed timescales
A Programme/Project Management qualification such as MSP/APM/PRINCE2 or Agile is essential
Communication
You will be a driven and dynamic individual who is capable of engaging, challenging, negotiating and influencing at all levels
High level, proven inter-personal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team of project and change professionals
