Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Design Technology Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and inspiring young minds in the field of design and technology. As a member of our faculty, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our students by delivering engaging and interactive lessons that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum and objectives, catering to the diverse learning needs of students.
Teach a range of design and technology subjects, including but not limited to Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, and Textiles.
Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for design and technology.
Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching resources and instructional materials.
Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive learning community.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
Degree in Design Technology or related field.
Proven experience teaching design and technology at the secondary level.
Strong knowledge of design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
Commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity in the classroom.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
