Hours: 8am until to 5pm Monday to Thursday with an early finish on a Friday

Polytec are looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer for our client based just outside Royston. You will be involved with hands-on construction, planning and co-ordinating.
Responsibilities:
* Mechanical construction of frameworks and assemblies, electrical installation through interpretation of wiring diagrams and control circuitry, and the installation of pneumatic systems in accordance with schematic diagrams
* Post-build test and commissioning of machines
* FAT (factory acceptance tests) of the machine
* Post FAT breakdown and packing the machine and accessories ready for shipment
* Re-assembly, commission and SAT (site acceptance test) at the customer site
* Stock management
* Liaison with procurement for stock availability
Requirements:
* Recognised electrical qualification to at least City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ level
* Use of hand tools and machine shop equipment such as band saws, pillar drills, linishers, grinders, presses etc
* Excellent eye for detail to a high level of precision
* Ability to read mechanical, pneumatic and electrical drawings
* Good mechanical and electrical fault finding and diagnostic skills
* An understanding of Method Statements and Risk Assessments
* You will need to have a current UK driving license and passport
