Skilled CNC PSO Permanent Role, Batley Workshop based

Fully skilled CNC ( computer numerically controlled ), VMC ( vertical machining centre ) machinist.

Monday to Thursday 7am to 3.30pm Friday 6am to 1pm

Hourly rate £19 with a view to potential rise after probation overtime paid after 8 hours daily at £28.50 per hour

25 days paid holiday plus Bank Holidays 4% contributory pension rising to 5% in July 2024 Life Assurance and Healthcare plan.

Paid monthly on the last working day of the month.

Must be fully conversant with HAAS VMCs ( Fanuc Based )

Must be able to Program/Set and Operate.

Work unsupervised.

Working on small to medium sized components to exacting tolerances on various materials, predominantly stainless Steel.

Use of a crane and lifting/slinging experience preferred.

The successful candidate will ideally be Apprentice Trained, or time served. Key requirements for the role include:

-Manual Milling / Turning - is a reasonable skill base in this is essential to the role

-Welding knowledge would be beneficial to the role

-Knowledge of machining Stainless and Mild Steel, Aluminium

-Machining bespoke small to medium batch size components and large and small blocks

-Ability to use measuring equipment such as Verniers and Micrometres

Day to day duties of this role include:

-Programming, setting and operating CNCs to produce accurate, quality components on time

-Effective and efficient use of all materials and tooling

-Managing your work schedule

-Self inspecting all manufactured components

-Adhering to all Quality and H&S Standard

You will be contracted to 39hrs per week working Monday to Thursday from 7.30am to 3.30pm with an 1pm finish on a Friday
