Due to ongoing success and continuing growth, Veolia is expanding its Engineering capability within the Technical Direction Energy Team. This Mechanical Design Manager position is suited to a candidate that is looking to take on more responsibility and further develop their skills within the industrial and low carbon energy sector. They will be committed to managing the Mechanical Design Team in order to deliver outstanding service in the creation of mechanica design packages to enable the successful installation, commissioning and operation of a wide range of low carbon energy technologies.

What you'll be doing;
Be responsible for the day to day management of the Mechanical design team. This is currently 5 people but will swiftly double in size over the coming year
Grow and develop your team, from graduate to senior level
Monitor and approve work leaving the team in collaboration with the Senior Design Engineers
Be responsible for the day-to-day management and administration the mechanical section of our Technical Direction Energy Platform which contains a library of standard mechanical designs, templates for requests for quotation, standard specifications for mechanical items
Interact and present to clients when required to demonstrate the capabilities of the team
Updating internal teams on project updates and deadlines
What we're looking for;
Educated to degree level within Mechanical Engineering
Proficient knowledge of energy installations at multiple facilities such as commercial, industrial, NHS, district heating etc
Excellent knowledge of HAZID & HAZOP
The ability to create and develop an excelling team
Excellent knowledge of Process calculations, P&ID, Low Carbon
