Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Assessor Trainer in Electrical at our Crawley campus. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £23,264 - £25,424 Per Annum.
The Assessor Trainer in Electrical role:
In the role, you will support students throughout their learning journey and provide them with a high-quality learning experience. A significant collaboration with local employers is envisaged to support the students apprenticeship journey.
You must have proven organisational and communication skills. You will also have experience of meeting the needs and expectations of the learners. You must be committed to equality and diversity, health and safety and safeguarding. Relevant industry experience in Electrical Installation will be required but you will be supported in developing your role here at the College.
Key Responsibilities of our Assessor Trainer in Electrical:
Supporting the learners development of vocational competence and the wider skills that relate to employability.
To train and/or assess learners within the relevant vocational area to awarding organisation standards in a timely manner.
Applying relevant initial and diagnostic assessment to individualised training plans.
To agree a training programme of development and assessment in partnership with the employer, setting realistic but challenging goals that meet the learners and employers needs, and include on and off the job training where required.
To actively listen, provide feedback and engage learners in planning their individualised training programme through coaching and mentoring; supporting the delivery and acheivement of additional qualifications as required.
To assess learners competence in relation to work-related/industry standards.
Providing workbased practice of the assessment instruments in the EPA where required, give timely and constructive feedback on assessment outcomes and progress, review and set new targets with candidates.
Completing relevant documentation in an accurate and organised manner, ensuring candidates are monitored and assessed against awarding body standards.
To meet regualrly with relevant curriculum and pastoral staff to ensure candidate progress is updated.
To attend regular standardisation/team meetings, as required.
Our ideal Assessor Trainer in Electrical should have the below skills and experience:
Level 3 or above Electrical qualification
Level 2 in literacy and numeracy
Level 3 Assessor Award (TAQA or equivalent)
Relevant and recent vocational experience in the relevant industry sector
Working knowledge of the relevant vocational area
