1959 Singer Sewing machine ( Y ) serial number.
Vintage Singer Sewing Machine, model 99K, with Accessories, in lovely condition.
Family owned from new, Singer confirmed this is a 1959 model.
Electric foot control, overhead light, lots of attachments (needles, spindles, bobbins, etc.), including “Singer” placement mat and side extension.
It's versatile enough to sew satin, silk and denim. Yet robust enough to sew Vinyl and up to mm of Cowhide. (with appropriate needles fitted)
It's a perfect machine for the tack room or anyone wanting to repair leathers or webbing straps. The large drive wheel gives the machine the power to punch through tough leather.
It's in great condition need some Tlc.
All original it has a fully functioning worklight, variable speed foot control and strong, efficient 240v motor.
It is still bright and shiny and the decals are vibrant.
These machines are becoming rarer by the year but are able to tackle jobs that would destroy an expensive plastic modern machine but at a fraction of the cost and very simple to use.
