Full time History Teacher on long term contract Portsmouth - starting ASAP

Pay: £150 - £220 per day

About the role:

Supply Desk are working with a Ofsted rated Good Secondary School based in Portsmouth that are seeking a full time History teacher to start ASAP on a long term contract until the end of July 2024. The School are looking for a History teacher that comes with experience teaching History in KS3 and KS4. You will have full responsibilities such as planning and marking. The school are looking for a fully qualified History teacher, with good recent teaching experience in the UK. The school will also strongly consider strong ECT's for History that come with good subject knowledge. You will be required to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 so experience teaching at this level is essential.

The School is based in Portsmouth and is a mixed Academy School for students aged from 11 to 16 years and comes with a Good Ofsted inspection in 2018. The School has around 1300 students in total. The School is conveniently located from central Portsmouth, with regular public services to the area. The School offers regular training for staff and opportunities for career progression.

Have recent experience teaching History in UK Schools
Be a committed team player
Proven track record of raising attainment
Be confident and adaptive to different environments
Have strong classroom management skills
Have either ECT or QTS status
