Major Recruitment are looking for a Sales Team Leader to join our Aberdeen based client on a full time, permanent basis.
Role:
Coordinate and supervise the safe, efficient and effective operation of the sales and tendering process within the umbilical's and specialist hose department.
Customer Management
Plan future department requirements at a detailed level to meet the needs of the business
Ensure that all staff in the department are provided with product, process and customer service skills in order to deliver the highest levels of enquiry processing, order confirmation, invoicing and customer satisfaction
Coordinate an effective team approach to handling customer requirements and delivering the necessary responses in a timely manner
To identify and understand specific customer requirements, focus on specific project opportunities in the designated markets and geographical areas
To promote the company's range products, integrated service solutions and the
To understand and promote the technical features and benefits of the company's
Prepare and issue quotations and tenders in line with departmental procedures
Develop and achieve department performance targets
Customer Service
Ensure orders are processed, delivered and invoiced within agreed timescales
Maximise opportunities to generate revenue from additional products or services such as packing materials, freight, premium working, documentation and others
Ensure enquiries/sales orders are authorised in accordance with the financial authority schedule
Control costs and maintain target margins for all proposals and tenders
Ensure enquiries are processed and quoted within agreed timescales
Manage customer service performance
Address issues of underperformance
Continually improve levels of customer satisfaction
Provide and exceed enquiry intake, order conversion and invoiced sales targets
Competitors / Suppliers
To understand our competitors' market offering and their activities within the market sectors
To understand our key supplier relationships, their scope of support and develop key interfacing points within their organisations
Qualifications
Sales & Marketing or commercial qualification
Technical product related qualification
Proven ability in customer account management/relationship development within the energy sector
Experience of selling added value services
An understanding of sales targets and budgets
Previous relevant experience within a similar role and environment
Experience in supervisory role
Experience of subsea hoses and umbilical's and related products
Strong People Management skills
Commercially aware
Ability to analyse and assess situations under time pressure
Able to meet strict deadlines
Ability to conduct presentations to wide ranging audiences
Have a flexible, "can do" approach to work
Ability to plan and organise workload to ensure optimum performance
Able to maintain drive, enthusiasm and proactive demeanour
