Position: Mathematics Teacher
Pay: £120 - £220 per day
Location: Doncaster

GSL Education South Yorkshire are looking for a Mathematics Teacher for one of our Secondary client schools in Doncaster. The Mathematics Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality Math education to secondary school students, creating engaging and informative lesson plans, and monitoring student progress. The Mathematics Teacher must adhere to the national curriculum and use various teaching methods to ensure all students can learn effectively. As a member of the Math department, you will play a crucial role and work closely with the Head of Faculty. The school values the teaching of fundamental skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving with a touch of creativity, which are integral to its ethos and expected from its staff.
Key responsibilities and tasks:
Plan, prepare, and deliver Math lessons that align with the national curriculum and meet the needs of individual students.
Use a variety of teaching methods, such as lectures, group work, and practical experiments, to engage students and support their learning.
Monitor and evaluate student progress through regular assessments, homework assignments, and tests.
Provide feedback to students and parents on their academic progress, including identifying areas for improvement and strategies for success.
Use technology and other resources to enhance the learning experience for students.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement school-wide programs and initiatives.The successful candidate will possess:
Bachelors degree in mathematics or a related field.
Teaching certification or qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS) for secondary school
Prior experience teaching Math to secondary school students.
Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment methods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
